Experience and Professionalism

Vandigital is an operating division of Imagepoint Communications Ltd. Over the years our activities have been centered on sales, capital development and managing projects. Along the way we have understood that business demands reliability, availability, perseverance and good judgment. We invite you to read our story…

VanDigital began in 2005 when Kevin Johnston began building websites and expanded to include 3D projects. His older brother began the same way and built Imagepoint Design, which later became ThoughtShop Ltd. Trevor spent a number of years as a multi-media producer/director at Envisioning and Storytelling Ltd. Today, Paul Smith, the founder of that company has gone out on his own with a new venture called Storysmithing Ltd. Both Thoughtshop and Storysmithing are affiliates whose websites can be accessed from our Home Page. We encourage you to view the significant projects therein. So VanDigital is about digital communications from West Vancouver, a key vantage point from which to observe changing waves in business and technology.

Imagepoint Communications Ltd. began in 1974. The company managed sport marketing projects for clients such as Shell Canada, Tandy Electronics, Action Traders and Labatt Breweries. In 1985 the company began providing director services for a Japanese hotel group. After 24 years, the Canadian Division manages over 200 employees with award-winning properties in Vancouver and Whistler. During 1998 the company fulfilled a contract for managing sport for the Vancouver Whistler 2010 Olympic Bid. From 1999 to 2001 the company staged three MB World Cups at Grouse Mountain in Vancouver, and later introduced the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Since 2002 investments in start-ups have included Kluane Basic Industries and Talesa Networks.
